Where am I from?
I am from a tennis racquet, a hair brush, and from a pencil.
I am from millions of chairs, the court, my playground, green and blue, a bit wet from all the sweat, and exceptionally large.
I am from palm trees, like giant crow’s feet swaying side to side to the beat of the whistling wind.
I am from salty Florida waters, I hear the splashing of the waves, I feel the gentle blow of the wind.
I am from warm cheesy mozzarellas sticks and the crunchy, salty ruffles I can never seem to put down!
I am from Florida Gator football and a long line of stubborn people, from Virginia Dell, Lucy Ackert, and Bryan Church.
I am from every sport and beautiful long brown wavy hair.
From “it’s not over until its over” and “honor and legacy”
I am from Atlanta and Jacksonville, pasta and pizza, strong and confident people.
And I am caring, loving, and beautiful.
